Rolling over milestone
Brent started rolling over from his back to his tummy a week ago. He did it in front of everyone at baby boot camp. We stopped swaddling since we don't want him to get stuck face down but that has made sleeping more difficult. He's had some great nights with 10-12 hours of sleep but others where he's waken several times at night.

Perfect sleeper @ 13.5 weeks
The intent of this post is not to brag, just to document a miracle that I'm sure is an anomaly. Brent went to sleep last night at 8:45, in his crib, without crying. He woke up this morning at 8:50, without crying. I only knew he was awake because he was talking. Then, when I went to get him, he had a huge smile on his face! On top of that, his diaper didn't leak (we started cloth diapers and they don't fit him the best yet)! Yay, yay, yay!!!

12 weeks old!
Brent was 12 weeks old last Friday. He weighed 14 lbs today, I knew he was getting bigger but didn't think he'd be that big! Hard to believe he's almost doubled his weight.
Last Friday we moved him from his bassinet to his crib. I cried when I didn't see the little guy next to my side of the bed but HE did really well. He slept 11 pm - 8 am Fri night,10 pm - 7 am Sat night 9-11 am on Sun, 9:30-3:30 Sunday night then 4-9 am on Monday morning. Apparently last night he started catching on to us and would not go to sleep in his crib. We resorted to putting him in the swing to put him to sleep, then transferred him to the crib. He eventually went to sleep and then woke up at 3:30 to eat. I found him face down in the crib, in his swaddle, so I guess he had been busy learning how to turn over. Ryan was super dad and got him back to sleep when he started crying around 5 am. We will see what happens tonight, I hope he goes back to being a good sleeper!

Brent's big weekend
Brent was a very busy guy this weekend. My best friend Courtney married Andre in San Francisco and Brent attended all of the festivities. This was not easy to pull off but with a lot of planning (and pumping!), it was a success. Brent and I started off Friday by going to the hair salon to get my hair blown out. He was a very good boy, just sat in my lap and took it all in.
We got into San Francisco Friday afternoon and attended the rehearsal at Flood Mansion, happy hour at Kell's (dive bar), and the rehearsal dinner at Bocce. Brent was completely over-stimulated by the time we arrived at the rehearsal dinner. Apparently his eyes started working this week so he can see much further and looking at the world can drive a little boy crazy. Ryan was really great during dinner, he stepped away with the screaming guy so I could eat and somewhat enjoy myself. He finally stopped crying at about 9:30 pm and we headed to the hotel. Checking into the hotel was hilarious. Friday night, lobby full of people, and we're dropping baby gear, like a bathtub, left and right in the lobby.
Saturday was full of wedding festivities. I left Ryan and Brent armed with bottles in the hotel room and had a fantastic time celebrating with the bride, Courtney, and the other bridesmaids. Brent was asked to be the ring bearer and amazingly he actually made it down the aisle without crying. We brought Brent's swing with us to the wedding, and it saved us. The little guy slept for four hours during the reception! Such a gift. Ryan and Grandma checked on him every 10 minutes. Eventually he woke up but was pretty happy in the Bjorn with Ryan. We left the party at about 10:30. Grandpa volunteered (or was volunteered) to babysit so the rest of us headed to the after party at the top of the Marriott. I'm not sure about everyone else but I had a really great time and was so thankful to my family, especially Ryan, for taking over the baby responsibilities.
Sunday we went to lunch at Courtney's parent's house and indulged ourselves in burritos and margaritas.
Monday was Brent's first Giants game. He did really well and was the cutest little fan I've ever seen. We treated ourselves to club level tickets, I might be spoiled for good now.
Next weekend is going to be so boring in comparison!
