Steph's weekend alone

Ryan spent the weekend celebrating Brian's impending nuptials in a RV, touring breweries with DJ, Rod, Willie, and Phil (and Brian). I thought I should document what I did this weekend so someday I can remind myself how I spent my free time pre-Baby Dragon.

On Friday I worked from home, took the dogs for a walk, and rented The Help and Harry Potty #7 part 2. The Help was great. I was really looking forward to finishing the Harry Potter series until 2 minutes in I realized that I had already seen all of them. D'oh!

Saturday I volunteered with Junior League for Princess Project - a charity that provides an awesome shopping experience for high-schoolers looking for a prom dress - all for free. Princess Projects serves 1200 girls annually with very little fundraising or advertising. We were there to help organize the 1000s of dresses in the "collection." My job was to sort through the new donations to decide what stayed and what to donate elsewhere. I was really impressed with how many beautiful dresses they had - the racks looked like they were straight out of Bloomies.

Afterwards I headed to Stanford Mall to try out the new grilled cheese sandwich place everyone has been raving about (it was ok, not worth the $9) and did a bit of browsing. Took the dogs hiking, ate some dinner, and watched Sex in the City The Movie (I know...). I have this vision (most likely dislusional) that when I'm off from work with Dragon Baby I'll be able to go hiking by myself with him and the dogs during the day. I'm starting to realize Bowzer and Olive don't share my vision. They think if Ryan isn't around it's ok to act like idiots.

Sunday I met Becky, Courtney, Nika, Sarah, and Jackson (Dragon Baby's future BFF) for brunch in Oakland. It was so much fun to see these girls, it had been over a year since we all were together. Of course Jackson was the highlight, he was so much fun to hold before stuffing my face with pancakes. Afterwards, Court and I went to get a pedicure, I ran errands, took the dogs on a walk, made dinner, etc. Not very exciting.

Looking forward to having Ryan home! Bowzer and Olive don't respond to my dialogue as well as he does. Also, Bowzer is not very good at taking photos so I'll post a new belly pic once the real photographer is back.

  1. Stephanie -- This is Sarah BTW. I'm SO behind on your blog, but am loving catching up on your pregnancy play-by-play. And excited to see the shout-out for Jackson! Flattered that he ranks above pancakes (I know that says something).
